what is the best espresso machine – and why?

I want to buy an espresso machine but I’m looking for a machine that is like a commercial machine but for use at home. My family drink a lot of hot drinks so a machine with a larger boiler for continuous hot water would be perfect – any suggestions?

    Hi Suzy

    I think I can help as I was once in your situation.

    I was looking for an espresso machine that was leaning more towards the commercial type machine.
    Well I found what I was looking for in the shape of the Rancilio Silvia, The Rancilio Silvia has a large 12-ounce boiler which means a constant supply of hot water when you want it. I found this site: http://ranciliosilviareview.com/ which was very helpful, also I have owned my Silvia for about 4 years with no problems.
